No clothing displaying obscene or offensive language, drawings, or gang affiliationsĪll visitors are to secure all personal items in their vehicle.No pants or jeans with multiple tears, rips, or holes allowed.No dress or shorts shall be higher than 3” above the middle of the knee while standing.No sleeveless dresses, shirts, or tops (shoulders must be covered).No revealing and/or see through clothing.It applies to Visitors, County Employees, and others conducting business inside this facility: The following listed Dress Code applies to both males and females entering this facility. Prior to being allowed to visit, all visitors shall successfully pass through the metal detector. You must have a valid government issued photo ID such as a Driver License, state issued ID card, or passport. Hours under normal circumstances are as as follows: Visits will be done by appointment only during normal visitation periods.Each visit will be limited to two (2) visitors.Each Inmate will be given one (1) opportunity for visitation during the Visitation Period.To accommodate social distancing guidelines, our visitation areas will be limited to thirty percent (30%) capacity. ![]() The wearing of masks by visitors and inmates inside the Visitation Area is optional.Detainees who are on Quarantine Status will not be allowed to visit until they have been cleared for General Population.The center also utilizes area hospitals for emergencies and advanced procedures.In order to provide for the welfare of the public and our confined population, the below guidelines are being put in place: to provide physician and nursing care as well as laboratory and x-ray services. The center provides medical care through a partnership with Southern Health Partners, Inc. Please note no packages may be received only letters. If you wish to correspond with an inmate of the detention center, please address it in the name of the inmate c/o Montgomery County Detention Center 206 Glen Road, Troy, NC 27371. An inmate’s family or friends may deposit funds into an inmate’s trust account by visiting the kiosk in the lobby of the detention center 24 hours a day or by visiting Inmate Mail The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office provides commissary services through Kimble’s Commissary to provide inmate's with their personal and institutional needs. Reservations and scheduling are on a “first come, first served” basis. Please remember ALL visits, on-site and off-site must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. You MUST schedule your visit 24 hours in advance at there is a convenience fee for this service, which is provided by our service provider Securus Technologies. Off-Site Visits: Inmates are allowed off-site visits each day to include weekends and holidays. You MUST schedule your visit 24 hours in advance at there is no fee for on-site visits. The hours are from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM (Excluding holidays and office closings). On-Site Visits: Inmates are allowed one 20 minute on-site video visit per day, Monday – Thursday. The Detention Center is located at 206 Glen Road, Troy, NC 27371 and may be contacted at 91. Statewide Misdemeanor Confinement Program and houses post-trial inmates serving their sentences. The facility was constructed in 2009 and is a 106 bed maximum security facility which houses adult male and female inmates. Detention Services is a division of the Sheriff’s Office which is comprised of a trained staff, dedicated to protecting the public by providing a secure and safe environment to house and manage inmates. ![]()
